OEE: Overall Equipment Effectiveness

OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) is the standard metric for measuring manufacturing productivity. It combines three factors — availability, performance, and quality — into a single percentage that reflects how effectively a machine or production line is being used.

Formula: OEE = Availability × Performance × Quality    World-class OEE = 85%+. Most facilities average 60-65%.

✓ Correct! Availability = (480 - 45) / 480 = 90.6%. OEE = 0.906 × 0.88 × 0.97 = 77.4%. The breakdown alone cost nearly 10 OEE points before accounting for performance and quality losses.
